What is public's view about ite students

As a ite students at first I have a lot of negative thought in mind, questions like am I going to adapt in a new school environment like ite, are the peers and students there kind or bad, would any bad element disrupt me? From what I know it is inevitable to find hooligans there, but so long as you dun mess with them, nothing will happened to you. Sadly they are not recognised or respected by some members of the publicc, they still think that ITe student got countless short-coming, hardly able to produced good result. But I don't think so there are also success stories if Ite student who succcessfull make it to poly-technic, and went on to do their degree. Therefore I rebut them from saying such a offensive remarks, don't be contradicted ite is to equip student with technical application and skill, which are vital to them in the workforce.Success is possible if the person has the heart and the willingness to do it.

My first day orientation camp in bishan campus

Just like all the other the first when you are coming into a new school, you will feel strange, scared and felt left out. This is one of my feeling when I first came to Bishan Ite College central, as like I mentioned I weren't really familiarize with the school. I wake up 8pm in the morning got my breakfast and dash to the Chinese garden MRT station to catch my train, the train I am taking will lead me to Jurong-East , then I need to walk straight to the middle platform and board in to another train. Altogether there are 12 stations before I finally reached Bishan Bus interchange. The traveling time have taken me about 1 hour, which is quite long train ride and I waited monotonously in the train without any one to chat with, all the passenger on board are on a rush some are tentatively working class, junior college students and secondary school students. They looked busy and impatient as like they are running late for something important. Finally I arrived at bishan MRT station, then I start strolling to school, since it is the first day of school been late is excusable but once lesson is as usual you need to report to school punctually, as late coming will be marked accordingly in the attendance list, once it accumulated till 10% the principal will write a warning letter via mail box to your residential estate, more than three time you will be expelled. Whilst walking into the new school I saw bunch of latecomers who delibately take their own sweet time talking among their friend. As for me I want to give a good impression especially to my teachers so I quicken my pace and get myself quickly settled down at the foyer. I was greeted and ushered by the student leader to my respective higher nitec accounting class. I was blur and a bit absent-minded on the first day of school. MY class code is IQF. Then a senior student leader step in to do her briefing about the orientation, after which there are extravagantly new games planned for the first year higher nitec student including me as well. To be honest I hated to be disciplined by other because I am someone with strong self-esteem, so I appeared uncooperative. Besides playing games we are also asked to give a rough introduction about ourselves and so on. After all set and done we are asked to proceed to the auditorium whereby we are give a slide presentation about the school, rules and regulations, the facilities available in school, the total number of course offered. This is how day one in ite passed.
